The Millenium MPS-1000 is an electronic drum set without compromises. With an impressive design that resembles an acoustic set, it offers more features than you could ever dream of. With its two configurations consisting of real wooden shells – all equipped with mesh heads – the MPS-1000 looks confusingly similar to an acoustic drum set. The high-quality finishes give the kits a classy and high-class look. This is matched by the module’s professional features, including Bluetooth, USB/MIDI, eight individual outputs, a color 3.2″ LCD display, and separate volume faders for all nine instrument channels.
The MPS-1000 features robust, dual-layer mesh heads, which are tensioned just like regular drum heads. They provide an authentic playing feel and very precise response. The snare drum and tom pads are equipped with two separate trigger zones for the head and rim. The 13” hi-hat, two 15” crash cymbals and the 18” triple zone ride can detect strokes across their entire surface area, so you can play them just like acoustic cymbals. The choke feature allows you to choke the sound by grabbing onto the cymbal.
The MPS-1000 comes with 40 preset kits, which cover a wide range of genres. In addition to meticulously sampled acoustic drums and cymbals, you’ll find a large number of authentic percussion sounds, as well as dynamic and punchy electronic sounds. With 40 additional memory slots for user kits, you can create your own combinations from the 820 sounds and add your own samples and loops. For practicing, the MPS-1000 includes 70 play-along songs from a variety of styles. The internal recorder lets you record up to 15 songs of your own.
So that not only friends of the vintage look get their money’s worth, we now offer the MPS-1000, in addition to the chic Grey Line finish, with two other finishes. Plain White is a bright white that blends seamlessly into any environment with its timeless look. Natural is the perfect choice for drummers who prefer a natural wood tone for their drums that goes great with acoustic instruments like piano and acoustic guitar.
What do drummers like John Bonham, Tre Cool, and Mitch Mitchell have in common? That’s right, they all played or still play a “one up – two down” configuration. This configuration contains only one rack tom, but two floor toms and has enjoyed great popularity again for some years – reason enough to include it in the MPS-1000 program. For this, we have combined a 20 “x16” bass drum with a 10 “x6” rack tom and two floor toms in 14 “x14” and 16 “x16”. The advantage over the standard configuration with two rack toms is that the ride cymbal can be reached more comfortably, and besides, two floor toms just look cool.
